The ICON BTP, Blockchain Transmission Protocol, has been introduced to the market and the ICON BTP technology connects ICON network with Moonbeam using Kusama Network, Binance Smart Chain, and Harmony Protocol. This can open up many possibilities for ICONFi as well.
Currently it might be just one step forward, but it could be a huge progress for any blockchain-based services — The BTP technologies could truly unlock the potential for services like ICONFi.
The BTP technology would make it a lot easier and cheaper to launch a new service supporting different chains. The recent Wonder Game (@Wonderdotgame) cross-chain NFT minting with Harmony Protocol (@Harmonyprotocol) $ONE. Thanks to the BTP technology and ICON Bridge, applications and services can tap into users from different networks and community. In particular, Financial services like ICONFi would have many chances and possibilities expanding to Harmony community providing its unique features of Auto Staking and My Crypto.
The ICONFi team is also studying and working on implementing new updates utilizing the ICON Bridge hoping ICONFi services can be introduced to many other communities on top of the ICON community — as Connecting might be the gist of interchain technologies.
